ISD Huta Czestochowa Sp. z o.o. [ISD Częstochowa Steelworks Ltd.] continuing the production tradition of Huta Częstochowa S.A., is the largest and most modern heavy plates producer in Poland. The Steelworks produces over 65% of steel sheets manufactured in Poland and has an approximate 35% share in the entire national consumption of this product. ISD Huta Częstochowa is also a recognized and respected producer in its field in Europe (4-5% production). Additionally, the Steelworks produces semi-products like blooms used mainly in pipes and tubes production.

The company implemented and certified the Integrated Management System according to the following standards: ISO 9001:2000, ISO 14001:2004 and PN-N18001:2004, in the area of heavy plates, seamless pipes and half-finished products production, including quality, environmental protection and industrial safety issues. The System Certification was done by BUREAU VERITAS CERTIFICATION.

Our main product, hot rolled sheet plates are a basic Steelwork `s material used in the following industries:
- shipbuliding and repair shipyards,
- steel construction,
- engineering,
- power-energetic sectors,
- mining industry,
- plates for large diameter longitudinally welded pipes.

Sales offer - Plate Mill

Plates are manufactured in a reversing four-high mill from continuously casted slabs coming from own steel melted in an electric arc converter KONEL® and subjected to secondary metallurgy treatment in a ladle furnace LF and vacuum degasser VD/VOD.

Sales offer - Pipe Mill 

The Pipe Mill produces seamless hot rolled pipes and tubes (OD 121 mm- 273 mm ) for: i.e. the shipbuilding industries, the oil and gas sectors, as well as for the mining and energy industries. It includes line pipes, structural pipes and tubular pipes used for shipbuilding, as well as boiler tubes, tubes for hydraulic cylinders, used in the mining industries, pipes for the machine maintenance, tubing and casing.

The high quality of our products is confirmed by an implemented Quality Assurance System in accordance with ISO 9001:2000, certified by BVC; certificates are issued by the American Petroleum Institute, Polish Ship Register, DNV, TÜV and Lloyd's Register of Shipping. Our products are made according to the international standards and projects based on customers' requirements and wishes.

We offer seamless pipes and tubes acc or ding to DIN 1629 , grade: ST37.0, St52.0 (line pipes), DIN 17 121 , grade St 52.3N (structural tubes) and DIN 17 175 , grade St 35.8/I, II, III (boiler tubes) and high-alloy steel tubes with dimensions acc or ding to DIN 2448 as follows: OD 127 mm up to 273 mm and W.T. 5,0- 25, 0 mm .

    • outside surface priming (using environmentally-friendly paints);
    • ultrasonic testing;
    • impact resistance testing at + 20 ?C and below -60 ?C;
    • hydrostatic testing at pressure up to 130 MPa depending on customer requirements and wishes.

Mill Test Certificate (basic) acc or ding to DIN 50049 / 3.1.B. or EN 10204/3.1.B
Tubes with length range: 4 - 12 m , plain or beveled ends.
We produce pipes and tubes acc or ding to ASTM A-53 , BS 3601, BS 3602, NFA 49 112, API 5L .

We also produce steel seamless casings pipes and tubes, made acc or ding to API 5 CT , last edition, type: J55, K-55, L-80, N-80, C-95 and P-110, ( API monogram no 5CT-0389 ), with metal or composite thread protect or s, with anti-rust varnish protection, with STC, LTC or BTC thread and with gas-tight ( premium) connection- called Polseal-1 .
Specification: OD 5" up to 9 5/8" and W.T. 5,59 - 15,11 mm .
In addition to that, we also offer pipes acc. to API 5L ( API monogram no.5 L-0388 ), grade A, B, X42, X46, X52 and X60.

We have implemented the Integrated Quality Management System acc. to ISO 9001, 14001 and 18001, certified by BVC.

Sales offer - Steel Constructions Centre 

Steel Constructions Centre, a part of ISD Huta Częstochowa, is the biggest steel service centre in Poland. It consists of:

  • Metal Construction Department,
  • Bridge Construction Department,
  • Prefabricated Products Department,
  • Anticorrosion Protection Department

Steel Construction Centre uses high quality and modern gas, plasma and laser cutting machines of Messer, ESAB, TRUMPF and produces approximately 80000 tonnes of steel goods annually - including bridge constructions and welded sections, elements of large size tanks, others steel constructions and flatted prefabricated units for different customers. This Centre employs over 700 employees - including 72 engineers. In the year 2008 the sale of goods exceeded 100 000 tonnes.

Steel Construction Centre products:

For many European windmill tower markets, we are the recognized supplier of wind towers construction items. Customers of our products are: i.e. Vestas in Denmark, Nordex in Germany, Siemens in Denmark, WinWind in Finland and others. Full production capabilities of precise cut plates allow us to complete our trade offer with multidimensional elements used in the production of pressure vessels and large diameter pipes. On customer's request, we apply steel of high quality special grades: alloy steel, container steel or fine grained steel.

All above-mentioned products could be shot blasted and painted with shop primer coating protection, could also include welding chamfers.

Firma wdrożyła i certyfikowała System Zarządzania Jakością zgodny z normą ISO 9001:2000 w obszarze produkcji blach grubych, koksu i półwyrobów. Certyfikacja Systemu została dokonana przez BVQI i PRS.
